
A new SLR (like the recent EOS 7D) is infrequent in Canon alone: As so frequently happens, the producer takes this as an opportunity to miss a makeover of lenses or introduce exclusively new seems. To (but not at the IFA) were equal to three: the EF 100mm Macro 1:2.8 L IS USM with Image Stabilizer hybrid and the two zoom EF-S IS and 18-135 mm 1:3.5-5.6 the EF S 15-85mm 1:3.5-5.6 IS USM. The EF Macro 100mm 1:2.8 L IS USM is the first macro lens with a hybrid image stabilizer and thus the first-stabilized Canon macro lens at all. Particularly in the vicinity of the hybrid-IS is also the lateral movement of the camera compensates, far more effective than conventional image stabilizers. The use of low-friction ceramic balls at the moving parts, according to Canon makes for a particularly quiet movement procedure. The hybrid image stabilization through its new accelerometer detects both horizontal and vertical camera movement (a trouble for close-ups), and as regular by a gyro sensor and helping to protect unintentional pivoting them.
