DisplayPort connector in the next Mac mini?

According to a rumor harvest always well informed by AppleInsider, the next generation of Mac mini will be equipped with dual DisplayPort connection Mini and Mini DVI to allow you to use dual display mode on the smallest computers ever produced by Apple. This indiscretion is added to that leaked last week on the Mac mini houses that would be brought in “Unibody”, that is completely made of aluminum like the MacBook and MacBook Pro the last generation.

Mac mini Unibody in January?

Nothing to be done, the little house Apple is not resigned to simply disappear from the market, and a roar back in a rumor that it wants alive and well, revised and corrected, at Macworld next January (where Steve Jobs will go, you mean). It may depend on the feeling that the Mac mini was that virtually everything the opposite of everything that is done the same site that had announced the death in 2007, now suggests that not only return but will also be revamped, inside and out. The mini-computer with the apple above should be redesigned with technology Unibody typical of the new line of laptops and some internal parts would become free of PVC, so that we can announce as the “Mac greenest ever, even under the small size and limited energy absorption.

For the video-out, of course, you’ll see a DisplayPort and RAM available will be increased to 2 GB, expandable to 4 GB (against the current 1 GB, expandable to 2 GB).

Rumor on the rumor of the death of the Mac Mini …

The rumor about the death of the Mac Mini can not be really great irony of the rumors about Apple, which are typically used as real news. But already there are those who not only says it is not dead, but Apple updated to bring it up to their laptops.

This means basically three things, the “new” Mac Mini could lead DisplayPort port instead of using a DVI video output as hitherto brought. Are ready at Apple, with this port saving space and you are obligated to have to buy an adapter DisplayPort to DVI or VGA to be able to use your screens. It also would update the RAM up to 4GB reaching base.

Rumor: Apple to manufacture / sell / send the Mac Mini (rest in peace?)

The Mac Mini was pretty special, Apple found a way to get a Mac for a price in a very small space even smaller (comes from the famous cube), have no peripheral and sell it to be a success, indeed the first G4 Mac Mini was my first Mac, so I have a special affection (this has come up to me … depraved).

Two major European distributors have confirmed that they no longer can do more orders from Apple Mac Mini, so we can speak of a death of the Mac Mini.
